Main objective of the job:
- Leads and is accountable for the performance and results of a dedicated team, supervising all project-related activities.
- Manages local and international (global) projects/teams from initiation to delivery, ensuring alignment with scope, quality, schedule, budget and resource allocation.
- Supervises the activity of all the subordinates involved in the project/ service, provides ongoing support and issue resolution.
- Gathers, process and documents technical and business process/requirements.
- Implements SAP solutions and integrations with SAP modules (e.g. MM, SD, EWM, PM, QM, FI/CO) or other systems.
- Drives process optimisation through best practices (innovation), delivers team and user training to ensure effective adoption and maintain the overall performance.
- Adheres to internal procedures and reliably completes assigned tasks.
Team Lead attributions and responsibilities:
- Identifies situations that might alter the quality of the services provided and proposes measures to overcome such situations.
- Creates, reviews, and updates work instructions, ensuring proper implementation and adherence to procedures within the team.
- Keeps the Service Manager constantly up to date regarding the activity within the project/service.
- Is consulted on developing the BCP (Business Continuity Plan) concept, on Risk Management as well as on drawing up the project strategy.
- Monitors the feedback provided by other departments regarding various situations and takes all appropriate measures to correct potential errors.
- Monitors and interprets project-specific KPIs and individual goals for subordinates, proactively proposing and implementing improvement measures.
- Keeps in touch with the client’s designated contact persons throughout the project/service.
- Plans the on-site visits of the clients and is responsible for the internal escalations (to the management) as well as the external ones (to the client).
- When necessary, travels to the client’s location or communicates with the client via conference calls.
- Periodically organises performance evaluation sessions for his/her team and fills out the evaluation form.
- Is involved in the event of any contractual renegotiation of the running project/service or if certain services are extended/changed.
- Collaborates with the HR department for all the required processes.
- Provides support to both the IT and the Purchasing department in the inventory process.
- Provides support to the Quality department in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP).
- Discusses any queries regarding procedures, work instructions, products and services with the Quality department.
- Is familiar with and abides by the Integrated Management System - Handbook and Procedures (Quality, Environment, Occupational Health and Safety), which concern one’s activity.
SAP Consultant (Domain) attributions and responsibilities:
- Gathers, analyses and documents business and functional requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Designs, configures, tests, and implements, SAP solutions to meet defined business objectives while ensuring compliance with SAP best practices and standards.
- Drives the adoption or implementation of SAP best practices and innovative features to optimise business processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration between SAP modules (e.g. MM, SD, EWM, PM, QM, FI/CO) and external systems.
- Provides ongoing application support, including troubleshooting, incident resolution, and continuous improvement of SAP solutions.
- Conducts user and employee (for junior colleagues) training sessions and prepares comprehensive documentation to support knowledge transfer and effective system utilisation.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation for configurations, process flows, and standard operating procedures to ensure operational continuity.
- Ensures adherence to organisational procedures and policies within the assigned area of responsibility.
- Performs additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by the direct supervisor, aligned with the scope of the role.
Qualifications:
Studies:
- University Diploma.
- High school Diploma.
- Certifications on Project Management areas.
- SAP Certifications are preferred but not mandatory.
- Project Management Certifications are highly desirable but not mandatory.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Language: English and/or another language.
- Computer literacy: MS OFFICE.
- Proficient in SAP S/4 HANA, with knowledge of main SAP processes and best practices.
- Familiarity with integration points between major SAP modules (e.g. MM, SD, EWM, PM, QM, FI/CO).
- Good understanding of project/program management methodologies, frames and practices (such as Agile and Waterfall).
- In depth knowledge of at least one SAP module (e.g. MM, SD, EWM, PM, QM, FI/CO).
- Experience in at least one S4HANA project implementation.
- Able to run requirement gathering workshops, fit/gap analysis, and propose and develop solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex business requirements and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
- Willing to learn new things, be open to challenges, and thrive on success.
