We're on the lookout for a skilled Cloud Engineer to help shape, support, and optimize our multi-cloud environments across AWS and Azure. If you thrive in a fast-paced, international setting and love turning infrastructure into code, this could be your next adventure.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize reusable IaC templates using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Bicep/ARM to automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Operate, monitor, and support scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms, ensuring alignment with architectural best practices.
- Provide day-to-day operational support including incident response, performance tuning, and system health monitoring using tools like CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, and third-party observability platforms.
- Support for DevOps, automation with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Implement and maintain security controls, compliance policies, and automated remediation using tools like AWS Security Hub, Azure Defender, and third-party CSPM solutions.
- Enforce tagging standards, resource policies, and access controls using AWS Organizations, Azure Policy, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).
- Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies to ensure business continuity across cloud environments.
Job requirements:
- Completed Bachelor's or Master’s degree program preferably in Information Technology, comparable qualification in the IT field or career changer with relevant professional experience.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in in operating cloud infrastructures based on IaaS, PaaS, etc.
- Strong experience in cloud operations and support, including proactive monitoring, incident management, and performance optimization of services hosted in AWS and/or Azure.
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Terragrunt and Ansible.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of cloud infrastructure provisioning into DevOps workflows using tools like Azure DevOps or GitLab.
- Good knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps principles, including budgeting, cost analysis, and optimization strategies.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.
- Ability to work in a team, self-initiative, use of agile working methods and the willingness to undergo continuous further training.
- Good planning and organizational skills as well as independent and team-oriented working style.
- Good communication skills and cooperation with colleagues, suppliers and (internal) customers in English / Knowledge of German language is an advantage.
- Positive attitude to be working in team in an international environment, with a self-starter attitude and eagerness to tackle unknowns.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
