We are looking for a meticulous and detail-oriented Control & Compliance Expert to ensure the successful implementation and continuity of internal controls integrated into business and technology processes. In this position, you will aid process owners in maintaining control reliability, ensuring compliance, and proactively driving improvement objectives.
Responsibilities
- Execute operational controls, encompassing manual and semi-automated activities such as access recertifications, reconciliations, quality checks, segregation-of-duty validations, and SDLC control steps
- Collect and document precise and timely evidence for control executions aligned with policy and data retention criteria
- Ensure adherence to established procedures, process documentation, and standard operating instructions
- Identify issues or gaps in control executions within operational processes and escalate concerns to appropriate control or process owners
- Assist in applying corrective measures such as checklist refinements, adjustments in data entries, and improved logging accuracy
- Support testing and audit activities by delivering evidence and walkthroughs to LOD2 and LOD3 while abstaining from result interpretation
- Recommend ways to enhance existing controls, fostering efficiency and supporting automation to minimize error rates
- Partner effectively with operational, engineering, product, and security teams to enhance control execution processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in roles focusing on process execution, quality assurance, technology operations, compliance-heavy environments, or finance operations
- Understanding of internal control framework elements, including their design, operational procedures, and supporting evidence requirements
- Familiarity with operational workflows such as SDLC methodologies, data processing activities, user provisioning, and financial or operational reconciliations
- Experience utilizing collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or ServiceNow
- High level of detail orientation and precision coupled with capability to meet deadlines effectively
- Structured and organized approach to documentation practices
- Problem identification capabilities without performing independent assessments
- Competency in interacting and collaborating with operational and technical teams effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of control environments such as SCF, NIST, or ISO 27001/SOC 2
