Adecco Romania is recruiting an HR Manager for its client, an international Nordic company.
What we are looking for
- Approximately 5–8 years of broad HR experience, ideally as an HR Generalist, Senior HR Generalist, HRBP, People Operations or HR Operations professional.
- Strong practical knowledge of Romanian labour law and employer obligations.
- Hands-on experience with HR administration, employee relations, payroll coordination and HR vendors.
- Experience working in an international organization and collaborating with stakeholders from other countries.
- Experience supporting a growing business, new site, shared service, technology, telecom, engineering or similar environment is an advantage.
- Strong ownership, initiative and a hands-on, problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate sensitive or high-risk matters.
- Fluent Romanian and English.
- Experience with Nordic working culture is an advantage.
As HR Manager, you will be the key local HR partner for employees and managers, working closely with the Romanian leadership team and Nordic stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:
- Manage local HR administration and employee lifecycle processes, ensuring compliance with Romanian labor legislation.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations, including absence management, disciplinary processes, grievances and sensitive employment matters.
- Coordinate monthly payroll, benefits and employee changes with external providers, Finance and People & Culture.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, mandatory training and local induction.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation, reporting and compliance records and ensure readiness for audits or authority requests.
- Monitor changes in Romanian employment legislation and translate them into practical actions for the business.
- Support the establishment and coordination of local Health & Safety and workplace-compliance structures.
- Develop and improve practical, scalable HR processes as the Romanian organization grows.
