We have an opportunity for a Proposal Engineer Intern to join our team, in Bucharest, where you will learn about PMC products portfolio (Gas regulators, Gas detection, Field Instruments, Oil/Terminals) and will understand the P&E key role in providing support to Regional Sales Managers, Account Managers, Channel Partners and other estimating/ Sales Support resources. The candidate will provide required support to Bucharest Estimating Team only.
This role is part of our University Relations program, designed to help students and recent graduates launch their careers with hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within Honeywell
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
The internship is for a period of 12 months.

Key responsibilities
- Induction with P&E Team and engagement with company structure
- Introduction of basics of Gas Products, Field Products, Terminals Products
- Interact directly with team members and establish requirements of proposal makings as part of day-to-day job
- Follow required workflow and other processes within the team
- Take active part in development and implement the standard Global estimating templates and processes in the region and leverage the use of Global Sales Support Tools like Salesforce, CPQ and SAP etc. for professional proposals that demonstrate business benefits
- Coordinate & support on overall workload of Estimation with other team members
- Manage assigned tasks effectively and efficiently in a team environment
- Communicate with internal and external customers in an easily understood manner
- Select the proper combination of hardware equipment, materials and services that will deliver the highest value to the customer while supporting overall Honeywell business objectives
- Review Techno – Commercial Proposals in standardized format as well as understand of all the TQs and responses
- Assist on P&E related activities and understanding process flow
- Coordinate with other P&E members to be part of the team and support with innovative ideas
- Possible direct stakeholders Interactions and ensure all compliance to execution requirements by providing necessary support
- Manage personal time and workflow to meet established goals of the team
Key skills and qualifications
- Final Year Student (within Bachelor Degree Program) or Student at Masters Program in a relevant, engineering field
- Fluent: English (other foreign language would be a plus)
- Well organized, attention to details
- Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
- Effective communication
- Confidentiality and professional ethics
- Adaptability and quick learning
- Previous internship or relevant work experience is advantageous, but not mandatory
- Experience in supporting customers / understanding different cultures and customer buying process, can be an added advantage
- Multicultural experience is an advantage – such as studying abroad, participating in exchange programs, or working in diverse teams during university
