We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Key DBA/Cloud Engineer to support the Store Transformation program, managing and optimizing the Oracle stack and leveraging OCI/Azure services.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of database systems while enabling seamless integration with the cloud.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Exadata Database Service and Oracle Autonomous Database Service version 19 and above
- Implement and manage Virtual Private Databases, Database Editions, role-based access policies, and database hardening procedures
- Design and implement High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions utilizing Oracle RAC, Oracle Dataguard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Participate in DR drills, testing partial and full database recovery using export/import and point-in-time recovery techniques
- Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues using SQL TRACE, EXPLAIN PLAN, and other performance tuning tools
- Design database migrations and solutions using Oracle GoldenGate or similar tools
- Administer Azure Cloud Infrastructure & Services, including Kubernetes and Azure AD, integrating with Oracle solutions
- Develop solutions for Canary release management with Pluggable Databases (PDBs) and Container Databases (CDBs)
- Establish and enforce database monitoring and alerting policies
- Conduct cloning of production environments for deployment into lower environments
- Enhance database performance by reorganizing objects, maintaining indexes, and optimizing SQL statements
Requirements
- 6+ years of working experience in Oracle Database Administration, covering installations, configurations, and hands-on with developer tools like Toad
- Expertise in Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Oracle GoldenGate, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Proficiency in Oracle Database concepts such as Virtual Private Databases, Database Editions, and database security practices
- Hands-on experience with database recovery methods and command execution for point-in-time recovery
- Skills in performance tuning and SQL troubleshooting, ensuring systems run efficiently at scale
- Competency in Azure Cloud technologies and infrastructure like Kubernetes and Azure AD
- Knowledge of Canary release management, managing PDBs/CDBs
- Background in cloning production environments and deploying efficient DR and HA strategies
- Familiarity with setting up and implementing monitoring frameworks and alerting systems
Nice to have
- Knowledge of OCI Data Integration (OCI DI)
- Understanding of Red Hat Linux, Debian, and VMware systems
- Background in ITIL and Agile Scrum methodologies
- Familiarity with Unix command-line tools and operations
- Capability to work with Java-Kotlin applications, Kafka, and MongoDB systems
