We are looking for a talented and motivated SUSE Linux Administrator / Linux DevOps Engineer to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES) and strong knowledge of DevOps methodologies. They will be responsible for the installation, configuration, automation, and maintenance of the infrastructure management system, ensuring its reliability, scalability, and performance across both on-premises and cloud environments. Working closely with development, operations, and infrastructure teams, they will support efficient CI/CD pipelines to streamline provisioning, deployment, patching of bare-metal Linux infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the infrastructure management system based on the SUSE Multi-Linux Manager platform
- Automate infrastructure tasks for provisioning, deployment, upgrades, patches, and monitoring
- Support CI/CD processes and enable containerized deployments
- Proactively monitor and troubleshoot Linux system performance and security
- Deploy and optimize Linux workloads on point of sales hardware
- Document system configurations and create runbooks for streamlined operations
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience of system administration of various enterprise distributions of Linux, preferably SLES and RHEL
- Hands-on experience in automation, scripting (Bash, Python), and DevOps workflows
- Extensive experience and deep knowledge of VMs and container environments (Podman, Kubernetes, Rancher)
- Familiarity with dashboarding and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strong troubleshooting and team collaboration skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (B2+)
Nice to have
- Certifications: SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA) or SUSE Certified Engineer (SCE)
- Experience with SUSE Manager for Retail
- Experience with SUSE Linux for Enterprise or other major Linux distributions
