Adecco is hiring a Logistics Manager for one of its clients – a leading agribusiness company active in the production, storage, and international trade of grains and oilseeds, recognized for its modern infrastructure, strong export operations, and commitment to efficiency and sustainability across the entire agricultural supply chain.
Education: Complete higher education
Experience: 3 - 5 years in a similar role
Knowledge necessary for performance of functional duties:
- Knows the current legislation of Romanian and regulations governing trade relations between legal entities
- Knows the rules of incoterms, types of charters
- Knows Microsoft Office, electronic document management systems
- Knows statistical reporting, accounting of basic accounting operations Strong knowledge of Incoterms, trade flows, and transport regulations.
Skills required to perform functional duties:
- Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient in logistics software and ERP systems.
- Familiar with bulk logistics, port operations, customs, and inspection agencies.
- Plan and manage logistics operations: truck, rail or barge.
- Oversee warehouse/silo operations, inventory movement, and stock control. Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers, freight forwarders, and logistics partners.
- Maintain stakeholder relationship with suppliers, customers and freight companies.
- Monitor delivery schedules and ensure on-time shipments.
- Coordinate with execution, quality, and trading teams to align logistics with contract terms.
- Ensure compliance with local/international regulations, safety, and quality standards.
- Handle transport claims, insurance coordination, and demurrage tracking.
- Monitor warehouse inventory, follow quantity loss and quality depreciation. Implement and improve logistics KPIs, reporting, and cost optimization measures.
- Management of data collection, analysis and reports related to open cargo flows, stocks, costs (ERP system).
- Handle accruals management to ensure accurate financial forecasting and cost tracking.
