Adecco is recruiting for a global IT company an EMEA Payroll Specialist to join their Payroll Operations team.


This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about payroll processes, employee support, and working in a dynamic international environment.

Location: Bucharest - Hybrid / Remote


Main objective of the job:


Ensures timely payments of employee salaries and taxes in the countries managed; achieves the quality and response time objectives, accurately resolves issues that affect the timely payment of salaries and fees arising from the payroll process, reported by employees and by other internal departments

  • University degree.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll, HR operations, finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Advanced English language skills (written and spoken).
  • Additional European language is considered an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a results-oriented approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to quickly learn and apply payroll processes, policies, and procedures.

  • Collect and validate payroll-related data received from internal stakeholders and external providers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of salaries and payroll taxes according to monthly and semi-monthly payroll calendars.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for employee payroll-related queries and requests.
  • Investigate, analyze, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee concerns within agreed service levels.
  • Collaborate closely with internal departments and external payroll providers to ensure smooth payroll operations.
  • Escalate payroll issues and risks in a timely manner, providing relevant information to management.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing the necessary documentation and information.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
  • Maintain high-quality standards and deliver excellent customer service to employees and stakeholders.
