YOUR IMPACT
As a Principal Data Analyst within the Sales Analytics team, you will be instrumental in building the data infrastructure and analytical solutions that empower our Sales organization to operate more intelligently and efficiently. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering and analytics, where you'll transform raw data into scalable models, automate manual processes, and deliver insights that drive measurable business outcomes. A core responsibility of this role is partnering with the Account Master Data team to manage and optimize our account hierarchy and account master data systems. You will maintain and enhance the current data models, improve applications used by the team, and ensure data integrity across our global Sales organization.
You will work closely with Sales leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to understand their challenges, then architect and implement robust data solutions that provide clarity, speed, and confidence in decision-making. Your work will directly impact revenue operations—from pipeline visibility to territory optimization to performance forecasting.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Account Master Data Management & Modeling
- Build and improve applications and tools used by the Master Data team to manage account data quality, validation, and governance processes.
- Design and implement data models that ensure consistency, accuracy, and scalability of account master data across systems.
- Develop automated workflows to streamline account data maintenance, hierarchy updates, and data quality monitoring.
Data Engineering & Model Development
- Design and build dimensional data models that support Sales reporting, analysis, and operational workflows across the organization.
- Develop and maintain efficient SQL queries and data pipelines that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility for downstream analytics.
- Create reusable data assets and frameworks that accelerate insight delivery and reduce technical debt.
Process Automation & Optimization
- Identify repetitive manual processes within Sales operations and build automated solutions using Python, SQL, and other automation tools.
- Develop scripts and workflows that streamline data collection, transformation, and distribution to key stakeholders.
Analytics Solutions & Insights
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, building analytics solutions that address critical Sales questions around pipeline health, win rates, forecasting accuracy, and seller productivity.
- Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide self-service analytics capabilities to Sales teams.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and support strategic initiatives.
Technical Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert on data structures, modeling practices, and analytics tools within the Sales Analytics function.
- Collaborate with Data Engineering, IT, and other technical teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and governance standards.
- Document data models, processes, and analytics solutions to enable knowledge sharing and team scalability.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
- 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or business intelligence roles with demonstrated expertise in building data solutions.
- Advanced SQL proficiency with experience writing complex queries, optimizing query performance, and working with large datasets across multiple data sources.
- Strong Python programming skills for data manipulation, automation, and analysis (pandas, numpy, or similar libraries).
- Proven data modeling expertise, including dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and understanding of data warehouse concepts.
- Experience with data pipeline development and ETL/ELT processes; familiarity with tools like dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or Microsoft Fabric Data Pipelines is a plus.
- Experience working with Sales or CRM data (Salesforce, opportunity management, pipeline metrics) is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with modern BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and software development best practices.
- Fluent English (written and verbal) is required for collaboration with global teams.
- Candidate must have legal work authorization status for Romania.
