What you’ll own as the Product Owner
You will be an integral part of a team building world-class digital products that provide reporting, account self-service, and value-add business tools for new and existing customers. You will work with internal teams to understand the business need; to elicit, analyse, agree and document the requirements, and to maintain their integrity, from idea conception through to delivery. You will work cross functionally to get the job done.
Create and own specifications for new features and functionality for digital products.
Lead stakeholders in exploring the business need and create a shared understanding of what the product is supposed to do.
Elicit requirements using appropriate techniques for the context (e.g., workshops, interviews, document reviews, analysis).
Clearly document business & technical requirements, ensuring these meet quality standards using appropriate methodology (e.g., BRD, Use Case, Product Backlog, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria).
Maintain prioritised backlog of features and define phases for delivery as appropriate, aligned to future roadmap. Ensure that it is an effective resource that is clearly understood by project stakeholders and development teams.
Be an owner of the UAT of new features and products before they are deployed into the market.
Be a subject matter expert on the products and systems that you support and translate effectively between business and technology (and vice versa).
Work with and support key stakeholders across the business (Global Operations & Line of Business)
Ensure Global Operations teams are fully prepared for any new Feature releases owned by the Product Owner, work with the relevant Ops leaders to support training material updates and communications as required.
Support any planned Go to Market activities with the Line of Business & Marketing teams as required and attend any Sales Training meetings planned.
What you'll bring
Demonstrable experience of defining, developing, and bringing digital products to market in a complex and competitive environment.
Experience working with Agile development teams and knowledge of how to translate requirements / user stories into detailed designs.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders
Very detail oriented and organised, with ability to multitask and prioritise workload effectively.
Self-motivated attitude and able to use your initiative and to influence without direct line management.
Know what good looks like from a digital product point of view.
Ability to understand complex problems or technical issues (from a product perspective) and how they impact customer experience
It’s a bonus if you have
Good understanding of mobile and web development principles and trends.
Knowledge of best practice relating to digital products including user interfaces and user experience.
Technical background not required but encouraged
Specific experience in Payments or Financial sector.
Experience working with offshore development teams
