About your workplace
We are looking for a Professional Tester (Analist) with onsite presence for at least 80% of the time, passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of both software and hardware systems through structured testing and continuous improvement. Joining our QA team, you’ll ensure the full test lifecycle—from planning to execution—for a wide range of Miele applications, including hardware-software integration scenarios.
Responsibilities
Test case design
- Design and develop test cases for highly complex IoT systems – based on close cooperation with team members + Test Lead, general requirements and user stories
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage – based on test concepts, strategies and best practices
Test Execution
- Agree the scope and type of testing with team members and Test Lead
- Functional, non-functional, regression, exploratory, Smoke-Test, (Systemtest), ...
- Execute manual / (+ automated) tests and document the results (team-related + cross-functional)
- Identify and document test conditions and capture the traceability between test cases, test conditions and relevant bug tickets
- Use of simulations and testing tools to increase efficiency and improve test coverage
- Maintenance and documentation of the test environment (dependencies on firmware and household appliances, flashing firmware, pairing household appliances)
Collaboration and communication
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-up and other Scrum ceremonies
- Collaborate with team members + Test Lead to understand requirements and provide feedback
- Provide estimations and consultation for test efforts in day-to-day development
- Communicate test results, bugs and progress to team members + Test Lead
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed documentation of test results and bugs
- Prepare test reports and metrics to team members, Test Lead and further stakeholders
Required expertise
MUST HAVE
- Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, information technology or a comparable qualification
- Experience in software testing, ideally in the field of IoT
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a team and strong communication skills
- Experience with project management, documentation, and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, Confluence, etc.)
- Good written and spoken English skills
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience with Agile project management
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab)
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell or Python)
- Experience with multi-platform frameworks and operating systems (e.g. MAUI/ iOS/Android)
Education:
- Completed training or Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field;
- Certifications in software testing (ISTQB, CSTE, or similar) are an advantage.
