Your Impact:

As a Deal Desk Proposal Manager, you will support Sales teams across EMEA by shaping and validating on-premise license and Cloud deal opportunities. You will ensure proposals meet affordability criteria, comply with revenue recognition and legal requirements, and align with OpenText’s internal policies. Acting as a key liaison between Sales, Finance, Legal, and other stakeholders, you will facilitate approvals, draft non-standard proposals when needed, and contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and profitability.

 

What the Role Offers:

  • Act as a project manager for complex medium to large Sales quotations for on-premise licenses (perpetual and subscription) and Cloud opportunities.
  • Advise Sales teams on contractual documentation to ensure compliance with revenue accounting and internal processes.
  • Manage the day-to-day opportunity approval process and communicate deal value consistently to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Prepare revenue analyses and “what-if” scenarios to support decision-making and maximize profitability.
  • Serve as the focal point between business units, Sales, revenue recognition, Legal, order fulfillment, and Finance.
  • Enable Sales and other teams with guidance on revenue recognition, processes, and company policies.
  • Draft proposals and contracts for software offerings in line with internal guidelines.
  • Facilitate and follow up on necessary approvals for negotiated offerings.
  • Develop and maintain business control processes related to pricing, proposals, and opportunity management.
  • Escalate customer-specific requests on pricing, offerings, and terms & conditions.

 

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Deal Desk or similar role within an international software company.
  • Strong understanding of software accounting guidance and commonly negotiated legal terms.
  • Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.
  • Solid business acumen and understanding of internal processes and policies.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality guidance under challenging timelines.
  • Genuine team player with strong collaboration skills.
