What will you contribute?
As a member of Cheque Technologies Quality Engineering team, the QA Engineer will work in an Agile environment with a distributed team to create and executing test cases for projects, will work closely together with the assigned project scrum team and be an integral part of product delivery from planning to release.
Required skills and experience:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related area of study
- 2+ years of experience software testing experience
- Applied knowledge of QA methodology
- Ability to manage priorities and conflicting timelines and work in a fast-paced environment with firm deadlines
- Experience with manual test case writing, regression testing, smoke testing and reporting
- Ability to execute test plans for software applications, document expected results vs. actual results, and record software defects
- Experience using UI and API automation tools
- Knowledge of quality assurance methods and techniques including the software development lifecycle
- Experience using Agile methodologies
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Your deliverables as a QA Engineer will include, but will not be limited to:
- Work with the project scrum team to design, implement and execute an effective test strategy
- Work with the project scrum team to plan, analyze and estimate user stories
- Create/review/update test case/test plans and test cases from product specifications and requirements
- Participates in planning/grooming meetings and analyzes user needs to determine testing requirements
- Executes test plans and test cases (manual and automation) and compiles results
- Logs, tracks defects from detection to resolution and works with developers to reproduce and resolve defects
- Provides QA support to stakeholders prior to the release of software
- Track manual testing progress and report back to scrum team and manager
- Enhancing and maintaining test automation framework and design
- Executing integrated regression test suites across all projects within Cheque Technologies
