Role Summary:
We are seeking a detail‑oriented and technically skilled QA Automation Engineer with experience in Microsoft Teams applications, Adaptive Cards, and bot‑based workflows.
Our MS Teams application leverages modern conversational UI patterns and adaptive card interactions to deliver a seamless and intuitive user experience. This includes:
- Dynamic, data‑driven Adaptive Cards for workflows and approvals
- Deep integration with Teams messaging, task modules, and bots
- Automated processes triggering notifications, actions, and user journeys inside Teams
The ideal candidate will design, execute, and maintain automated and manual test suites validating the functional, non‑functional, performance, and integration aspects of Teams‑based applications across devices and platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute test cases for MS Teams app experiences, including:
- Adaptive Cards
- Messaging extensions
- Bot interactions
- WebView and deep link behaviors
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and UI/UX engineers to identify test requirements and ensure test coverage.
- Perform smoke and regression testing, ensuring consistency across Teams desktop, web, and mobile clients.
- Validate Adaptive Card payloads, rendering behavior, schema compliance, and dynamic content updates.
- Document test results, raise detailed bug reports, and track issues through to resolution.
- Support testing for localization, accessibility, and cross‑platform compatibility within Teams.
- Contribute to automation frameworks for Teams APIs, message flows, and card-level validation.
Required Qualifications
- JavaScript/Typescript
- NodeJS
- Deep knowledge on UI Testing experienced
- API Testing POSTMAN
- Git
- Experience with test case management tools (e.g., TestRail).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Self-learning and self-managed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Backend testing
- AI experience
- JavaScript Test Framework experienced e.g. cypress, webdriver.io , playwright(Optional but good to have)
- Understanding of QA processes in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to internationalisation/localisation testing.
- Non-functional testing (e.g. Performance testing, Accessibility testing)
