Adecco is looking for a Retail Sales Manager for one of our clients, an international retail company.

 

The Retail Sales Manager will be responsible for retail operations, driving growth and profitability through strategic planning, performance management, and team leadership. They’ll oversee budgets, sales, store operations, and promotions while ensuring strong collaboration across departments while maintaining high retail standards.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Retail, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple retail locations, preferably in the premium goods sector.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data and implement actions based on insights.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching abilities, experience in managing diverse teams.
  • Strategic thinking, customer-oriented approach, and in-depth understanding of retail operations.
  • Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence across different organizational levels.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned area, in Romania (~10-20%).


  • Development and implementation of a local Own Retail strategy aligned with the Group’s global guidelines and objectives, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability across all store formats.
  • Responsibility for monitoring budget execution, key sales indicators, and contributing to the preparation of annual budgets and their updates.
  • Participation in local S&OP / planning processes.
  • Acting as a key liaison between stores and support departments (finance, marketing, HR, etc.), representing the company at cluster meetings, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Evaluation of store locations for further expansion.
  • Preparation and implementation of a sales activation and promotional plan in cooperation with the marketing department.
  • Monitoring and analyzing daily sales reports, key performance indicators, and other operational data, taking immediate action in case of emerging issues or market opportunities.
  • Managing inventory levels, product assortment, and visual merchandising standards in all stores to maximize sales and enhance customer experience.
  • Oversight of staffing, scheduling, and training in stores to ensure optimal operational coverage, efficiency, and consistent delivery of premium service.
  • Responsibility for the work, management, and development of the Own Retail sales team, as well as disciplinary responsibility and support for the Own E-commerce Specialist.
