Adecco Romania is recruiting for its client, a non-banking financial institution, for a Senior Accountant role.
The Senior Accountant supports the Chief Accountant to manage all relevant accounting processes, ensures high
quality of reporting baseline, and achieves tax
compliance.
- minimum 5 years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of trial balance, account reconciliations and logical checks
- Solid accounting judgement, including: accruals & deferrals, taxes and corporate income tax statutory and tax filings
- Analytical use of Excel (beyond templates)
- Fast learner;
- English: conversational use
- Driver license (for daily commute)
- Record and process accounting documents in accordance with local accounting standards and internal policies
- Prepare and execute payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with approval procedures
- Perform month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly trial balance and ensure its accuracy and completeness
- Prepare statutory tax declarations (e.g. VAT, corporate tax, SAF-T)
- Ensure compliance with local tax and accounting regulations
- Reconcile statutory accounting records with group reporting figures and investigate any discrepancies
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with internal departments and group finance teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial data
- Continuously improve accounting processes and controls
