We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to lead the development and optimization of backend batch processes that support key business functions.
You will work extensively with C, Unix shell scripting, and SQL to manage high-volume data flows and enhance the reliability and performance of scheduled operations. Your role involves technical leadership and cross-team collaboration to ensure smooth integration and deployment. Join us to contribute your expertise and drive the success of our backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop backend components and scripts for batch processing
- Optimize SQL queries and data workflows to improve performance and reliability
- Monitor and troubleshoot batch executions during day and night cycles
- Collaborate with analysts, developers, and operations teams to maintain data accuracy and process stability
- Lead environment readiness and coordinate deployment activities
- Document technical processes and maintain operational runbooks
- Mentor junior developers and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Participate in technical reviews and provide input on architecture decisions
Requirements
- Experience of 6+ years in backend development or scripting roles
- Advanced proficiency in C programming, Unix shell scripting, and SQL
- Experience with enterprise batch processing and job scheduling
- Strong experience with Sybase or comparable relational databases
- Understanding of messaging systems and software deployment practices
- Demonstrated analytical and debugging capabilities
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
