Your Impact

An OpenText Content Server Consultant is responsible for the technical delivery of the CS (Content Server) Platform-based solutions. Such delivery activities encompass the design, development, deployment, testing, and documentation of specific software components – either providing extensions to particular items of core product functionality or implementing specific system integration components. This role has a heavy deployment and administration emphasis, combined with the consultative skills required to promote the impression of quality and excellence actively fostered within the Professional Services team.

Engagements may vary from managing multiple short and relatively fast-paced engagements to larger projects, depending on levels of experience. The nature of work may include full application lifecycle activities, including development, deployment/provisioning, testing, migration, decommissioning, and ongoing run and maintain (upgrades, patching, etc.) of the cloud deployments.

The role is customer-facing and requires excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate to a wide range of stakeholders (internally and externally), both verbally and in writing. LI-Hybrid

 

What the Role Offers

  • Participate in technical design, deployment, and day-to-day administration
  • Plan and execute implementations, upgrades, and patching
  • Configure CS software components according to project timelines
  • Coordinate project delivery with multiple teams, including third-party suppliers and client resources
  • Automate provisioning, patching, and upgrades to improve operational efficiency
  • Seek new business opportunities through customer engagement and change control provisions
  • Adhere to project management standards and quality checks
  • Manage expectations and responsibilities for all stakeholders
  • Provide exceptional customer support via web, telephone, or email
  • Resolve complex technical issues in the OpenText cloud environment
  • Administer production applications on UNIX and Windows servers
  • Troubleshoot alerts to meet service level agreements
  • Collaborate on technical issues with various resources

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience
  • Expertise in deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of OpenText Content Suite Platform components (Content Server, xECM, Brava, OTDS, Search & Indexing)
  • Experience with cloud deployment of the Content Suite Platform
  • Knowledge of ITIL methodology, Windows, UNIX, and application administration in a TCP/IP networked environment
  • Experience with relational DBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, MySQL)
  • Programming/scripting skills (SQL, .sh/.bat, Java, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with web/application servers (IIS, Apache, Tomcat, JBoss)

Desired Skills:

  • JQuery, JQuery UI, AJAX, JSON
  • Experience with Web Services and LDAP
  • Java, C++, or C#
  • Awareness of virtualization/VMware
  • ITIL certification is a plus
