What you’ll own
You’ll be joining an established team of Linux , automation, cloud and middleware designers and engineers who support the design and implementation of major business products onto the NAP platform.
Design, build and document large and/or complex Ansible playbooks for build, setup and hardening of Linux servers.
A methodical and scalable approach is a must, Puppet experience is a plus.Take ownership of new initiatives and defining requirements and acceptance criteria for Proof of Concepts and taking suitable solutions into Test, Pre-Production, and up to Production environments.
Generating innovative solutions in work situations; applying "out of the box" thinking and challenging the status quo in dealing with work problems and opportunities
Mentoring and training of engineers as required
Troubleshoot and support 3rd line recovery actions working with BAU teams
What you bring
Working Practices – A strong desire to generate methodical and reproducible frameworks within which to create quality artefacts. Extensive experience with GIT and GitHub for version control and continuous integration and continuous delivery of infrastructure
Technical experience – 5 years+ Linux system administration; 3 years+ of hands-on experience in writing Ansible playbooks
Architecture – Good knowledge and understanding of infrastructure concepts like, Routing, Firewalls, VIP's, bonding, SAN, multipathing, NAS, NFS, DNS, Active Directory etc.
