We are seeking a Senior Python Developer to join our team, driving the design, development, and maintenance of a user access management product for an advanced analytics data platform.
This role involves working on APIs, infrastructure management, and system integration using Python, Azure, and Databricks, ensuring scalable and secure solutions aligned with the broader data platform ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions in Python3
- Design backend systems with strong domain modeling practices
- Build and maintain APIs with FastAPI, incorporating validation and error handling
- Implement infrastructure as code with tools like Terraform in Azure environments
- Integrate components into Databricks and broader analytics platforms
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure robust system performance
- Collaborate with team members in pair/mob programming settings
- Utilize async/await principles to optimize performance and error management
- Balance curiosity with pragmatism, focusing on sustainable approaches
- Ensure adherence to best practices in software engineering and system design
- Foster a positive and constructive team environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering or similar roles
- Expertise in Python3 with object-oriented programming principles
- Proficiency in building APIs with FastAPI and Pydantic for validation and response modeling
- Knowledge of Azure, Terraform, or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Capability to develop solutions with async/await principles and appropriate error handling (4xx vs 5xx)
- Strong competency in writing unit and integration tests
- Understanding of backend domain modeling in software systems
- Background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Dedication to high standards in software engineering and system design
