Join a global reinsurer's software engineering team as a Senior Python Developer, focused on enhancing sourcing efficiency and operational support.
You will lead Python application development within the Property and Casualty claims domain, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions. If you are experienced in Python and Azure cloud services and passionate about innovation, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with business objectives
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications
- Ensure code quality through unit testing and code reviews
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives
- Optimize application performance, stability, and maintainability
- Lead and mentor a development team focused on Python applications
- Coordinate with other technical leads to ensure project alignment
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members
- Analyze and resolve technical issues to enhance performance
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices in Python development
Requirements
- Proven experience in Python development with 3+ years of relevant work
- Strong understanding of software engineering principles and SDLC
- Experience working with Azure cloud environment and services
- Background in using Python frameworks and tools such as FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Alembic
- Competency in designing and consuming REST APIs
- Ability to lead teams and drive improvement initiatives to meet delivery goals
- Familiarity with Agile development processes
- Proficiency in English, both written and verbal
Nice to have
- Experience with generative AI tools for software development lifecycle (e.g., GHCP, CodeMie)
