We have an opening for a Senior SAP BTP/CAP Developer who delivers enterprise services using a modern technical approach. In this role, you'll be responsible for the full design and build-out of scalable, event-driven microservices on BTP, linking core SAP platforms with contemporary cloud APIs through CAP, Node.js/Java, and dependable security measures
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and construction of enterprise-grade microservices and extensions using SAP CAP
- Craft backend solutions built for strong performance using Node.js and/or Java
- Establish integration connections between SAP BTP, essential SAP systems like S/4HANA, and third-party APIs through OData and REST
- Apply robust cloud security practices, including identity propagation and authorization management, using XSUAA alongside the BTP Destination Service
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related subject area
- A minimum of 3 years of applicable work experience
- Proven hands-on experience building enterprise-grade solutions with the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP)
- Strong skills in Node.js and/or Java for backend microservice construction
- Experience integrating SAP BTP alongside core SAP systems and external APIs, covering both REST and OData
- Solid grasp of SAP BTP security concepts, XSUAA authentication, and destination service oversight
- Upper-Intermediate English language competency (B2)
Nice to have
- Holding a relevant SAP BTP certification, such as SAP Certified Development Associate – SAP Cloud Application Programming Model, would be considered advantageous
- Hands-on exposure to SAP Fiori elements and event-driven architecture via SAP Event Mesh
