Miele Tehnica is a subsidiary of Miele & Cie. KG, Germany. We produce electronic components for a wide range of Miele appliances, such as washing machines, tumble dryers, vacuum cleaners, ovens and others. The products Miele offers to its customers set the standards for durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service.
As the "Smart Home" business unit, we are the first point of contact for digital products, data and innovation for all business areas. We are a design partner at eye level for business, providing valuable solutions, impulses and perspectives for the Miele of tomorrow.
In this position, you will work with us on a continuously growing backend system, which is at the heart of numerous digital innovations. In coordination with our product owner and architect, you will take over the development of new features. An example of these products is a fault diagnosis in the call center and at the customer's site. In this way, you are actively shaping the future at Miele.
Key Responsibilities
You will further develop, maintain and optimize the backend system based on the communicated requirements, standards and specifications.
You will implement RESTful APIs for new digital services and products.
You are familiar with databases and ideally have already worked with graph databases (RDF).
You have expertise in cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), containerization (e.g. Docker), continuous integration and version management (e.g. Git).
You will analyze existing systems and processes and develop suggestions for improvement to increase efficiency and avoid errors.
Your Skill Set
You have at least 4 years of Software Engineering experience
You have in-depth knowledge of Java, have already gained experience with Spring Boot - as well as in the development and documentation of RESTful APIs.
You enjoy thinking analytically and finding simple solutions to complex issues.
You impress with your ability to work in a team, initiative and enthusiasm for innovative digital solutions - and enjoy working on the future together with colleagues and customers.
You are open to new technologies and methods and continuously develop yourself in order to create innovative solutions together with the team.
Education:
You have a degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable and have in-depth knowledge of Java.
