We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join our solution architecture team, which is responsible for a Hybris-based grocery e-commerce platform.
You will play a key role in the discovery and implementation of a complex delivery stream and eventually co-lead the architecture team, guiding a monolith-to-microservices transformation. In this role, you will engage with multiple stakeholders to ensure architectural and technical excellence throughout the platform evolution. Responsibilities
- Participate in designing integration of SAP Commerce Cloud and microservices with architects and development teams
- Lead technical discussions with business and technical stakeholders on architecture topics
- Prepare design documentation including high-level designs, integration contracts, and architectural decision records
- Execute discovery and implementation planning for decomposing Hybris monolith focusing on the shopping component
- Co-lead the solution architecture team and oversee activities such as CI/CD improvements, performance optimization, and technical debt management
- Guide project solution architects and support SA-related processes
- Collaborate with product owners, enterprise architects, and other teams to align implementation plans
Requirements
- Extensive experience in solution architecture with at least 12 years of industry involvement at senior management level
- Strong background in Java and SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris) development and architecture
- Proficiency in cloud platforms including Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure with hands-on experience migrating between these environments
- Demonstrated expertise in e-commerce domains such as shopping, search, loyalty, marketing, master data management, product information management, customer identity and access management
- Competency in fulfillment systems including available-to-promise, assortment management, and order management systems
- Hands-on experience with monolith decomposition and microservices architecture
- Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, suitable for engaging with diverse teams and clients
Nice to have
- Experience with Apache Kafka for event streaming
- Knowledge of Dynatrace for application performance monitoring
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch for search and analytics capabilities
- Understanding of React.js and Next.js frameworks
- Experience with Bloomreach CMS integration
