As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer - Cloud Infrastructure you will play a key part in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of OpenText cloud-based systems to our global customers and by doing so you will contribute to our mission to be the best Information Management company in the world.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Automation and Infrastructure Management: Using hyperscaler services and DevOps tools (e.g. IaC) to design, deploy/automate deployment, scale and support the cloud infrastructure for OpenText applications; Managing backlog of cloud design and deployment requests as well as service requests
System Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitoring systems to track performance metrics; analyzing and resolving issues on multi-vendor cloud infrastructure; responding swiftly to minimize downtime
Performance Optimization: Continuously analyzing the system performance, identifying bottlenecks and helping to optimize cloud applications to reduce cost as well as to maximize utilization and efficiency
Capacity Planning and Scaling: Optimizing cloud resources, databases, and network configurations by working effectively with IT, Architecture, and Engineering and cross-functional teams on cloud-related infrastructure projects; Developing OpenText cloud standards and high-level architecture designs
Reliability Engineering Best Practices: Maintaining high system reliability by creating documentation, product reviews, cloud related based content, learning programs and providing technical leadership & training
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
At least 5 years of professional experience in a similar role
Proficiency in CI/CD tools (e.g. CodeBuild, CodePipeline, StepFunctions, CodeCommit), IaC tools (e.g. Terraform, Packer, AWS CloudFormation), scripting languages (e.g. Python, YAML, JSON, BASH, PowerShell)
Familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting techniques (e.g. CloudTrail, Security Hub, GuardDuty, Config); analysis and troubleshooting skills, including for IAM access issues
Hands-on experience in optimizing cloud performance, cost, utilization, and efficiency through capacity planning and auto-scaling infrastructure
Expertise in cloud hyperscaler compute, storage, and networking (AWS or GCP or Azure); experience with Kubernetes (e.g. AKS, EKS, GKE) and hyperscaler project/account/subscription creation; experience in designing and operating platforms for off-the-shelf software
Experience with Service Control Policies, Control Tower, and Customizations for Control Tower (CfCT)
