Strong experience with C++ is preferred for this role.

As a Senior Tech Lead, you will provide technical delivery leadership for a medium‑sized team of engineers and associate tech leads, while continuing to contribute at a senior level in system design and development. You will be working at the core of high‑performance trading and clearing systems, supporting tier‑1 clients who depend on robust, low‑latency, and highly reliable technology.

In this position, you will review and guide the technical work of the team, ensuring that every delivery meets the rigorous quality and performance standards expected in mission‑critical financial platforms. You will also own the technical design of a substantial area of the system, collaborating with architects when dealing with complex or high‑impact challenges.

The role includes line‑management responsibilities, supporting the development, performance, and engagement of your team members within an environment of highly capable and motivated engineers.

You will work closely with internal management and external clients, ensuring clear communication around progress, risks, technical decisions, and the solutions within your area of accountability.

Additionally, you may take on various responsibilities across the software development lifecycle, including acting as Scrum Master or serving as the architectural owner for key components and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Should be responsible for providing the senior technical leadership to a team for a medium to large scale functional or technical delivery
  • Must be an expert in C++ and is capable of coding mission critical components with no mentorship
  • Lead the team to analyse the requirements, embed the changes into the current design, coding, testing, build and deploy.
  • Own the designs of semi complicated components and subsystems with minimum guidance of the architects.
  • Ability to perform accurate estimates on implementation changes on the responsible areas
  • Ensure the team follows the SDLC practices and standards according to the company policies and guidelines
  • Ability to play various roles in the SDLC including Scrum master, Architect owner, Shadow solution architect.     
  • Ability to communicate clearly both on functional and non-functional aspects on the area he is responsible for with customers. In addition, should be an expert with the total technical delivery of the project/s that they are assigned    
  • Identify improvements of components, subsystems, SDLC and suggest and work through implementations with the help of other team members 
  • Ability to configure and automate and maintain continues integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines to support software integration and deployment
  • Play the line management function as per the guidelines provided. Be responsible for improving the skills and mentoring the team for career development
  • Handle individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science/engineering or similar technical field
  • At least eight years’ experience with 1+ years in a similar capacity on C++
  • An analytical mind and the ability to learn both the business and technical aspects of financial markets
  • Ability to maintain good working relationship with clients and team members
  • Interest and skills in automation and DevOps tools
  • Being exposed to modern IT trends is an advantage
  • Hands-on experience in cloud technology, different open source technologies and integration of them 
  • Detailed understanding of the full SDLC and related tools
  • Working proficiency and interpersonal skills in verbal and written English.
