Your Impact
As a Software Engineer at OpenText, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our Core Software Delivery Platform - a cloud-based software lifecycle management and DevOps solution used by some of the world’s most recognized companies. You will design, develop, and integrate new features and capabilities, enabling seamless adoption and maximizing the platform’s potential for our customers. Your contributions will directly influence how enterprises manage software delivery at scale.
What the Role Offers
The opportunity to work on a cloud-based DevOps platform that drives digital transformation globally;
A dynamic and collaborative environment where you’ll partner with highly skilled engineers in Cluj-Napoca, Israel, and worldwide;
Hands-on experience with modern technologies like Java (8 to 21), JavaScript, Spring, NodeJS, REST, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle;
Involvement across the entire software development lifecycle—from architecture design and coding to testing and integration;
A diverse technical portfolio that allows you to understand how customers leverage OpenText tools alongside various enterprise systems.
What You Need to Succeed
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;
At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering;
Technical Skills:
Strong experience developing software in Java and JavaScript, with exposure to frameworks like Spring and NodeJS;
Familiarity with REST APIs, SQL databases, and DevOps tools like Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Maven;
Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, from architecture and coding to testing and debugging;
Mindset & Collaboration:
A problem-solving, analytical approach with the ability to work across distributed teams;
Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal;
A passion for innovation and delivering solutions that make a measurable impact.
