We are currently looking to recruit an experienced procurement professional to lead the indirect spend categories of Logistic and operation service. The role's main responsibility is sourcing strategy development, deployment and supplier management across the business in order to drive value creation and minimize total cost of ownership.

The role involves establishing and building appropriate relationships with internal stakeholders located in Europe and key suppliers to achieve goals and develop best practice, and may involve the management of Sourcing Support staff.

We are looking to speak with experienced professionals with 5+ years' demonstrable and international-level experience across Logistic and Operation Service categories.

Successful management of stakeholders and supply market knowledge relevant to these categories are critical to the role as well as experience of the strategic sourcing process with a proven capability to analyze and develop strategies through to implementation.

What will you be doing in this role?

Main responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements, using multi-functional/cross country teams, long-term strategic procurement plans.
  • Is the sourcing expert for the specified category and acts as the escalation point for major problems and issues.
  • Develops and maintains flexible sourcing strategies that adapt and respond to changes in both external market and internal demand.
  • Performs supply market analysis and monitors supply markets. Benchmarks industry and evaluates new opportunities to be included in the sourcing strategies and supplier selection process.
  • Manages strategic supplier evaluation process and selects suppliers using a cross-functional sourcing team.
  • Leads negotiation, reviews and supplier selection for contractual agreements within the category.
  • Manages change within the contract and transition to new contract arrangements.
  • Develops Supplier Relationship Management with strategic partners in order to maximize value creation in line with Ideal Standard’s needs.
  • Stimulates a culture of continuous improvement, constantly re-evaluating better ways of doing things.
  • Develops relationships with stakeholders at all levels and ensures internal customer satisfaction.
  • Tracks status/benefits, supplier performance and compliance relative to targets.
  • Develops budget forecast, cost projections and “Total Cost of Ownership” model for materials/services in the category.
  • Manages supply risk through the identification of internal and external risks, and the development of mitigating actions.
  • Identifies opportunities to implement best-in-class approaches to reduce TCO.
  • Contributes to the development of Procurement performance and capability in the category team.
  • Coordinates and drives local activities and projects to assure consistency with the procurement strategy to meet the overall procurement plan.

Requirements:

Technical skills:

  • Relevant degree.
  • At least +5 years’ experience in Procurement Logistic and operation service categories and/ or proven experiences in Logistic and operation service supply chain.
  • Deep knowledge and proven experience in Transportation, Express courier, Postal Service, Paper & stationary, Printing (mandatory, marketing and informative materials), Office & Employee Moving, Machinery for Back office, Accounting, Archiving & Back-office service, Call center.
  • Experience of active leadership of cross-functional project teams across multiple countries.
  • Strong negotiating skills and experience of applying these in high volume negotiations in a multi-countries distribution.
  • Strong change management, risk assessment and mitigation skills.
  • Knowledge of purchasing contract law.
  • Experience with procurement KPI's, development of balanced score-cards that link with business objectives and priorities.
  • Robust financial understanding required to support ad-hoc and ongoing analytical and cost budgeting exercises.
  • Deep knowledge of sourcing processes and procedures/ regulations (if in banking / financial sector will be considered as plus).
  • Transformation, streamlining and simplification initiatives successfully implemented with tangible results are considered a strong plus.
  • Knowledge and experiences in risks and compliance impacting the end-to-end process of sourcing.
  • Goods/ services price catalogues and benchmarking data tools kit.

  • Strong command of Excel.

Certifications:

  • English certification.
  • CIPS membership Level 4 or above as relevant plus.
  • Procurement courses attending or Certifications considered a plus.

In addition, experience of supplier management and development, experience of working in a fast paced lean business culture such as venture capital or PE organization.
