We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Engineer to join our team, focusing on the maintenance and support of VMware environments. You will be part of a distributed team of 10-20 senior engineers and architects located in Germany and Romania. Role & Responsibilities:
A Day in the Life: Your daily routine will involve a mixture of proactive and reactive tasks, including:
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues within vCenter and other VMware technologies.
- Creating and configuring new environments for existing and new clients.
- Providing guidance and technical assistance to clients and other projects as needed.
- Handling incidents and following the established escalation process with vendors and other teams.
What We Look For:
We are seeking a candidate with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Proven experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere.
- Proficiency in the command-line interface (CLI).
- Hands-on experience with Linux environments.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Linux, Unix, Networking, VMware) are highly desirable.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience with VMware NSX, networking and Terraform.
Communication Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members and users.
- Excellent English language skills are required
