The role is part of Oracle LiveLabs, supporting global enablement programs through the creation of video content, technical walkthroughs, product demonstrations, and multimedia assets that help developers, customers, and internal teams better understand Oracle technologies.
Role overview
The Video Editor is responsible for creating high-quality video content that supports Oracle LiveLabs' global enablement programs through technical walkthroughs, product demonstrations, feature explainers, tutorials, and other multimedia assets for developers, customers, and internal teams.
This is an early-career individual contributor (IC2) role suited for a creative and detail-oriented professional with strong video editing fundamentals, proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud tools, and a passion for clear visual storytelling. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to transform technical content into engaging, on-brand multimedia assets that support Oracle LiveLabs and Oracle AI Database initiatives.
Mandatory skills
•1–3 years of professional experience in video editing or equivalent portfolio demonstrating strong editing ability
•Hands-on experience with Adobe Premiere Pro and basic skills with After Effects
•Ability to edit screen recordings, narration, and technical content clearly and concisely
•Strong attention to detail timing, pacing, continuity, and visual consistency
•Basic knowledge of audio cleanup and leveling
•Experience delivering under deadlines with good communication and time management
•A sample of your strongest creative or technical editing work is required
Nice-to-have
•Familiarity with Adobe Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator
•Experience with Frame.io, Digital Asset Management systems, or structured file workflows
•Understanding of modern encoding and delivery formats
•Exposure to tech storytelling, developer content, or software demos (bonus, not required)
•Curiosity for cloud, AI, databases, or product demos—no deep expertise required, just willingness to learn
•Work closely with Program Managers, Product Managers, Developers, and Designers to turn raw recordings and technical walkthroughs into polished video content
•Edit and assemble content for demos, tutorials, workshop intros, short-form clips, event assets, and internal enablement videos
•Handle the end-to-end edit pipeline for smaller projects (IC2-appropriate ownership): timelines, cuts, audio cleanup, simple color correction, titles, and on-screen annotations
•Apply Oracle’s brand guidelines, tone, visual style, and Redwood design principles to minimize revisions and maintain consistency
•Use Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects to create lightweight motion graphics (lower thirds, transitions, callouts)
•Manage and organize project files, media assets, naming conventions, and delivery exports
•Incorporate feedback quickly, iterate effectively, and maintain strong communication throughout the editing process
•Support the broader post-production workflow by collaborating with higher-level editors and producers when needed
•Design and produce visual assets including logos, style sheets, and master templates to ensure brand consistency across video, high-stakes
presentations, and Oracle LiveLabs marketing collateral
•Distill complex technical data and architectural concepts into clear, impactful graphs, charts, and infographics that adhere to Redwood design principles and improve viewer comprehension
•Conceptualize and refine raw ideas into polished digital imagery, maintaining rigorous standards for typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to ensure all deliverables align with Oracle’s evolving visual identity
