Along with speakers from all over the world, we brought you face to face with Java Champions, CEOs, Team Leaders, Devs, and evangelists that shared their best inputs and experiences.
The event was held at Romexpo and the preparations by each partner takes approximately 2 months. The effort we put in was rewarded by our booth displays:
- A branded BMW car, which was the element of surprise for all participants
- Two head-unit prototypes that gave people the sense of the look and feel of the infotainment systems in BMW and Audi models
- A Hardware board for the even more curious
Our aim was to make ourselves visible, which is why we participated as a stage partner for the event. Volker Grossman, Sr. Director Dev Center Romania, delivered the intro for the Automotive stage. Later that day, he held a short interview for ZF Live together with Alex Motoc, Sr. Director Dev Center Romania (you can watch their opinion about the future of automotive industry here: starting at 19:20)
And also, Petru Slupa dived into telematics on behalf of the Daimler team.
Our booth stood out from the crowd and we had several colleagues that helped us engage with all the participants interested in our company: Alex Manea, Emma Roata, Matthias Loges, Dorin Avram, Cristian Stefan, Virgil Zamfirache and Robert Badea.
Participants were also offered the chance to win a raffle drawing, with prizes like: backpacks, power banks, memory sticks, agendas, pens all branded with the HARMAN logo and 3 of our most popular products: AKG headphones, JBL Flip 4 and Onyx Studio 4.
The event overall was fun and educational. It represented a great opportunity to practice and enlarge one’s networking skills.
Like every first experience, we will aim for higher results next time.

“DevTalks was, for me, the first experience of this kind and it was exciting to be part of the organizing side. The opportunity to present a product made by our company was helpful for me and, also, for the curious participants I've interacted with. All of the visitors were interested in the technologies we use and more than intrigued about the way they work in a real-life application. Our booth managed to highlight our SW and HW solutions delivered by Harman with the aid of a couple of head unit prototypes; units which, in their final form, are present on today's BMW and Audi models.”
