Role description
The primary goals of this position are to implement, maintain and continuously improve the Business Continuity and Crisis Management programs across BHI, as well as to provide global guidance on the delivery of the Operational Resilience framework.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with policies and standards, coordinating business continuity lifecycle activities, supporting IT Disaster Recovery planning, participating in crisis response efforts, and driving overall improvements in organizational resilience maturity.
The role will also be responsible alongside the BHI Resilience and Crisis Manager for defining Operational Resilience goals, objectives, and initiatives, completing all BCMS and Crisis Management lifecycle activities.
This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Coordinate business continuity lifecycle activities for BHI business units including:
Setting up the Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) for the business
Training and education across the business unit - ensuring roles & responsibilities are accepted, colleagues are familiar with their BCPs
Business Impact Assessments
Development of recovery strategies
Testing & exercising (Validation)
Support in managing incidents and crises within the business unit; using the tools (Business Continuity Plans and strategies) and structures (crisis) available
Management of risk within the business unit and more broadly
Contribute to on-going review and improvement of the operational resilience requirements, aligning to the maturity and changing needs of the organization
Support the review and assessment of key 3rd party & partner requirements
Ensure alignment to relevant policies and standards
Support periodic or ad hoc compliance and audit reviews
Ensure understanding and alignment to relevant ISOs, DORA, NIST and other regulatory requirements
Liaise with all BHI business teams to develop effective working relationships and documented BCP plans
Reports to BHI Resilience & Crisis Manager and define on-going goals, objectives and initiatives
Support and align all BCM planning, initiatives and goals with organizational goals, infrastructure capabilities, and Booking Holdings Inc Brands requirements
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor Degree
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a security & resilience role
Strong understanding of Operational Resilience, focused on what is critical to the organization and its customers
Proven stakeholder management skills at all levels
Strong program management experience
Solid understanding and implementation of ISO 22301, with familiarity with ISO 27001
Knowledge of BCM frameworks (e.g., BCI); BC certification is a plus (e.g., AMBCI)
Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
Ability to build strong relationships with business partners to drive program adoption and ensure collaboration
Willingness to occasionally work nights and/or weekends during a crisis event
This position requires flexibility, independence, technical knowledge, and strong problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguous situations and has a proven track record of delivering results in specialist or manager-level roles
