Role description
Junior Privacy Specialists are responsible for a wide range of operational activities including but not limited to addressing privacy cases investigations and questions from data subjects as well as the orchestration and execution of privacy-related controls. They support projects and initiatives as per the Privacy Program Framework. They must have good communication and priority setting skills as well as attention to detail.
They are also encouraged to proactively find opportunities for improvement and innovation within the Privacy and Data Protection Capability Area, and support the company’s obligations in regard to data protection regulations and requirements.
This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Perform analysis at the business transaction level to understand what happened and what mitigation measures are to be taken.
Assist in Privacy-related initiatives and projects as required and support complex privacy cases led by Privacy Specialists by finding and extracting information across networks and systems (using a combination of manual and automated tools to proactively analyze various sources of data).
Work effectively with team members and leadership by communicating Privacy trends and sharing ideas and knowledge and create Privacy awareness while maintaining focus on a positive customer experience.
Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and data subjects as required, to respond to questions or requests (Privacy and personal data) as a first point of contact on a global scale.
Support initiatives that improve the company’s risk management practices as it pertains to the processing of personal data.
Manage standardized privacy cases end to end and support investigations required by inquiries coming from Data Protection Authorities (DPA) or mandated by Law Enforcement Requests (LER).
Role Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
At least 1 year of knowledge and experience with regard to Privacy case management and privacy and data protection legislations such as GDPR, LGPD, CCPA, etc
Ability to prioritize incoming escalations and requests appropriately using clear communications
Ability to investigate, retrieve and analyze data
Strong decision making ability and be self-disciplined
