This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.
Role description
You will be partnering with the Global Procurement Team (located in the Netherlands, US and Bucharest) as well as with the wider Booking.com business. A successful candidate is a reliable, commercially minded legal counsel servicing the Procurement Legal Team (based in Amsterdam).
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
Draft and negotiate clear and commercially appropriate procurement agreements within agreed parameters and guidelines.
Be well structured, clear and organized, with an ability to prioritize and drive progress within a very fast paced environment.
Provide support to our weekly priority meetings.
Demonstrate a collaborative approach to getting the job done, drawing on technical specialist support from other members of the Legal & Public Affairs function and with a range of stakeholders both within the business and externally.
Create and deliver guidance documents and training material for teams within the business under the direction of the Senior Legal Counsels.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
EU law degree (UK or US training is an advantage)
At least 3 years’ experience in a reputable law firm or in-house team
Experience in procurement, technology and/or marketing agreements is an advantage
Native or fluent English speaking and writing skills
Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail
Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines, prioritizing appropriately
Professional and collaborative approach
Strong knowledge of and familiarity with using Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Google Sheets, Google Docs)
