Role description
In this position you will complete IT hardware and software requests globally, speaking to employees and coordinating delivery to more than 100 countries in order to provide a seamless employee experience and to empower the workforce.
This role will act as both an individual contributor and as part of a global team responsible for hardware and software management.
This role will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to stay ahead of changes, solve logistical challenges, manage supplier issues, and monitor inventories.
This role provides a hybrid way of working with an on-site presence of 2 days/week.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Purchase Tech equipment through our suppliers around the world. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery time.
- Raise purchase orders and process goods receipts for equipment that has been delivered
- Respond to internal customers on ticket requests, showing excellent customer service
- Participate in the re-supply of bulk stock in key locations and monitor stock levels
- Ensure that hardware is purchased in a timely manner in accordance to SLAs
- Work with suppliers to ensure accurate delivery of orders to office and home based users
- Find workarounds to problems such as hardware shortages, delivery issues and software lacking ownership
- Follow the purchase ordering processes:
- Understand the request
- Obtain vendor quotes
- Acknowledge input from vendor
- Placing orders
- Arrange and track deliveries globally
- Resolve shipping or delivery challenges
- Follow up with user to acknowledge goods received
- Keep Support up to date
- Timely updates of hardware request tickets
- Look for ways to improve processes, create automation through tooling, source new suppliers and onboard them and improve the experience for our colleagues.
Role Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience
- A broad understanding of IT hardware, software, operating systems and basic computer security
- Knowledge of working with ServiceNow is an advantage
- Previous knowledge in iValua is an advantage
- Strong knowledge in MS Office, specifically in Excel and PP
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong work ethic; self-directed and resourceful
- Passion for teamwork, continuing education, problem-solving and exceptional customer service
- Proficiency in both speaking and writing English
