We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust network and network security solutions for our organization.
This role will require you to provide leadership and technical expertise across various projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure systems are optimized to meet the business’s evolving needs while adhering to compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement secure network architectures in alignment with ISO policies and organizational needs
- Provide mentorship to Enterprise & Solution Architects to guide secure and scalable integration of network security systems
- Enhance network automation processes to achieve standardization, self-service, and digitization goals for enterprise users
- Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders regarding software licenses, operational costs, support models, and vendor relationships
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for P1/P2 incidents and conduct risk assessments for network and security-related issues
- Develop and conduct testing and disaster recovery plans to ensure optimal technical performance
- Monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure systems remain state-of-the-art
- Drive compliance with IT policies, baselines, SOX, and PCI regulations while implementing corrective actions as needed
- Contribute to best practice documentation and knowledge sharing across regional and global network security teams
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer sciences or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of expertise in network security systems, including firewalls, proxy servers, and intrusion detection systems
- 7+ years of experience with Cisco infrastructure such as routers, switches, SDWAN, and ethernet technologies
- Proficiency in cloud networking and DevOps tools like Terraform, Bicep, and Ansible
- Familiarity with virtual private network technologies, such as IPSEC and SSL
- Background in tools like Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and MS Teams is a plus
- Competency in agile practices and methodologies; Agile certification is an asset
- Fluency in written and verbal English with exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Capability to assess risks and make impactful decisions, paired with creative problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration and share knowledge across teams
