Key Responsibilities
- Process customer inquiries and prepare tailored quotations based on road/rail requirements.
- Receive and clarify orders (validate data, special layouts, value-added needs) and plan shipment execution in TMS.
- Coordinate with carriers, warehouses, customs, and internal teams to ensure on-time loading, transit visibility, and unloading records.
- Track shipment status and customer credit; compare expected versus actual costs to identify variances and drive efficiency.
- Independently handle value-added services (VAS) and key-account transports; address and resolve customer complaints or irregularities.
- Issue external and internal invoices, process outstanding receivables, and support monthly section closing.
- Establish competitive non-tariff pricing; optimize departmental costs through process improvements and resource planning.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of all transport documentation; enforce company procedures and propose corrective measures as needed.
- Generate performance reports and forecasts for the Branch Manager and regional/corporate headquarters.
- Participate in special projects, cross-functional teams, and continuous professional development initiatives.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in freight forwarding, with a focus on road and/or rail transport.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Solid market knowledge of domestic and international transport lanes, regulatory frameworks, and customs procedures.
- Advanced proficiency with PC applications and Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Strong analytical abilities for cost calculations, pricing strategies, and performance monitoring.
- Professional training or certification in logistics or full-load solutions is an advantage.
- Proven independence in task execution, decisive problem-solving under pressure, and small-team leadership capability.
