What you'll own as the Cloud Engineer Specialist
You will be responsible for implementing and expanding the Cloud estate within the programme with a focus on compute, networking, storage, observability, reliability and security.
You will be responsible for building, implementing and maintaining repeatable deployment processes for all environments and tooling within the Cloud, specifically, AWS.
You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and policy of the internal Worldpay security teams.
You will need to work closely with other value streams to identify areas of improvement, where cloud technology can be used to solve complex problems.
You will develop process improvements as they relate to the AWS current and future estate.
What you'll bring
Solid hands-on experience with the following Amazon Web Services and specifically the following AWS technologies: VPC, EC2, ELB, Auto-Scaling (including Groups), S3, RDS, CloudWatch, Route53, Lambda, ECS, EKS, CloudFormation, SQS, MSK, DynamoDB, IAM.
Strong understanding around CI/CD practices, principles and fundamentals, especially around building infrastructure in the Cloud, as relating to AWS, whilst using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
Solid experience writing code in Python, and utilising Python within the AWS space, ie the boto3 library.
Solid experience with Jenkins CI/CD and the utilisation of shared libraries to build pipelines as code.
Good hands-on experience on operating systems like Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc).
Good experience with Kafka.
Good experience with No SQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra.
