What you’ll own as the Senior DevOps Engineer
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you could work with bleeding edge technology as you support the build of innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests.
You will be working with other DevOps engineers and multiple teams developing .NET services that are deployed to Amazon Web Services (AWS) utilizing the best features they have to offer.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Owns the design, implementation, and maintenance of IaC (e.g., Terraform) for repeatable and scalable infrastructure.
Cloud Environment Management: Manages and optimizes cloud resources (e.g., AWS services like RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, Lambda, Secrets Manager).
CI/CD Pipelines: Builds, maintains, and improves continuous integration and deployment pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
Containerization & Orchestration: Oversees deployment and management of containerized applications on platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Security & Compliance: Implements and enforces security best practices, including secrets management, access control, and compliance standards.
Monitoring & Incident Response: Sets up monitoring, alerting, and logging systems; leads troubleshooting and incident response efforts.
Automation: Identifies and automates repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
Collaboration: Partners with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline workflows and support application delivery.
Mentorship: Guides and mentors junior engineers on DevOps best practices and tools.
What you’ll bring
Deep expertise in cloud platforms (especially AWS), enabling scalable, reliable, and cost-effective infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with AWS managed services such as RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, Lambda, and Secrets Manager, ensuring secure and efficient cloud operations.
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, allowing for rapid, consistent, and repeatable infrastructure deployment.
Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes/OpenShift), supporting modern, microservices-based application architectures.
Advanced CI/CD pipeline development skills (Jenkins, GitHub), accelerating software delivery and improving release quality.
Expertise in automation and process optimization, reducing manual effort and increasing operational efficiency.
Robust security and compliance knowledge, ensuring that systems and workflows meet industry and organizational standards.
Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, minimizing downtime and quickly resolving production issues.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills, fostering effective teamwork across development, operations, and business units.
Mentorship and leadership qualities, helping to upskill team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Required technical skills
AWS Cloud Services:
Proficiency with AWS managed services such as RDS/Aurora, S3, IAM, Lambda, and AWS Secrets Manager/Parameter Store.Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Deep hands-on experience with Terraform for provisioning, managing, and automating infrastructure.Containerization & Orchestration:
Experience deploying, managing, and troubleshooting applications using Kubernetes and/or OpenShift.CI/CD Tools:
Strong skills in building and maintaining pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub (Actions or Workflows).Scripting & Automation:
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or similar for automation and tooling.Security Best Practices:
Solid understanding of cloud and container security, secrets management, and IAM policies.Monitoring & Logging:
Experience with monitoring and logging tools and practices (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).Networking Fundamentals:
Good grasp of networking concepts relevant to cloud and container environments (VPCs, subnets, security groups, load balancers, DNS).Version Control:
Advanced use of Git for source code and infrastructure management.
