Our client is a global technology company with a strong focus on data, analytics, and enterprise solutions. The role joins the client’s internal Business Intelligence team, where the individual contributes to the design and maintenance of analytics solutions. The position involves modeling star schemas, translating business requirements into ETL specifications, writing and reviewing SQL, and supporting project maintenance within a two-week Scrum sprint cycle. This is a hands-on role that offers strong mentorship and clear growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Analytics, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
· Foundational knowledge of data warehousing concepts (star schema, dimensions/facts, Slow Changing Dimensions, grain).
· Basic proficiency in SQL and familiarity with query tuning concepts.
· Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts
· Strong analytical, communication and documentation skills; willingness to learn enterprise standards and best practices.
· Team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving and escalation management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or 0–2 years of experience in BI/reporting or data engineering.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows, Agile/Scrum, and ticketing tools (Jira/Azure DevOps).
- Basic knowledge of performance troubleshooting in BI dashboards and SQL.
- Exposure to data quality and testing frameworks.
- Exposure to Oracle OBIEE/OAC, Oracle Semantic Modeler, or similar BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SAP BO).

- Reduction in incidents/defects on supported assets.
- Demonstrated growth in modeling and SQL proficiency
- Assist in BI data modeling (star schemas) within complex data repositories using Oracle Semantic Modeler.
- Translate business requests into clear ETL requirements/user stories; collaborate with data engineers on implementation.
- Write, review and optimize basic-to-intermediate SQL queries for reports, validations, and troubleshooting.
- Perform maintenance tasks: defect triage, incident resolution, report/dashboard updates, semantic model changes.
- Participate in 2‑week sprints: backlog refinement, estimation, sprint reviews and retrospectives.
- Document data models, ETL requirements, lineage, test cases, and release notes following internal standards.
- Follow data governance, privacy, and security guidelines; adhere to CI/CD and change-management processes.
