This role provides a hybrid way of working with an onsite presence of 2 days/week.

 

Role description

Booking Holdings is looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Compliance & Ethics (C&E) team as Manager, Global Compliance & Ethics. This role will support the C&E team with the implementation of key compliance processes and initiatives, such as ethical culture surveys, conflicts of interest and gifts and entertainment disclosures, and program reporting against Key Performance Indicators, across Booking Holdings and our brands. The role will also explore and leverage new technologies and tools to continuously improve these processes, making it a key contributor to the overall effectiveness of our global Compliance & Ethics program.

This role is located at our Center of Excellence in Bucharest, Romania and is part of a global Compliance & Ethics organization comprising colleagues across multiple geographies and time zones. As such, it demands a dynamic individual with strong technical and interpersonal skills. This role reports to Booking Holdings’ Director of Compliance Operations.

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties 

  • Support the Director of Compliance Operations with the implementation of the Global Compliance KPI process, through which Booking Holdings maintains oversight of the consistent and effective implementation of the company’s global Compliance & Ethics program across all brands. Manage the quarterly process and related reporting.

  • Manage compliance disclosure processes (e.g., Conflicts of Interest, Gifts & Entertainment) in accordance with the relevant policies and requirements.

  • Plan and support the deployment of compliance & ethics surveys. Analyze survey results and provide reporting on insights, trends, and action items to senior management.

  • Develop and manage program reporting, providing key stakeholders with a holistic view of program performance and effectiveness.

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and continuous improvement of the "Compliance Hub" intranet site, ensuring all content, policies, and resources are current, accessible, and effectively organized for global employees.

  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement across our compliance program in key operational areas (e.g., headcount reporting, department spend and analysis, vendor management, and department operating procedures) using internal insights, tools, and new technologies.

 

Role Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant compliance experience, preferably at a global company.

  • Proven experience in compliance program management, including developing and overseeing program requirements, and managing sensitive, high-volume disclosure processes (e.g., Conflicts of Interest and Gifts & Entertainment)

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for presenting complex data to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strategic mindset focused on driving innovation and continuous improvement in core operational areas.

  • Strong data analytics skills with proficiency in data visualization tools. Experience with Google Gemini and other AI tools is a plus. 

  • Meticulous attention to detail.

  • Team player and great collaborator, but also comfortable moving projects forward independently.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively manage competing priorities, and adapt to evolving priorities and needs.

  • Confident and possesses ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
