Job description

Programme start date: 7th September 2026

Please review all the graduate programme opportunities and make one application

Do you have a passion for data, problem‑solving and understanding how global financial markets operate? Do you want to make an impact in a business supporting some of the biggest financial institutions in the world? Do you thrive in a dynamic, analytical environment where both detail and big‑picture thinking matter?

Our Business Graduate Programme provides the ideal springboard for an exciting and meaningful career across our Group Risk and Data & Analytics divisions.

To be eligible you must be a final year undergraduate or Masters student in a STEM or Finance‑related discipline (e.g. Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Finance) and have completed all the requirements of your course before August/September 2026 or be a recent graduate from the class of 2025.

For this position, we are looking for graduates who are interested in applying their analytical, quantitative and problem‑solving skills within either:

  • Group Risk
  • Data & Analytics – Analytics Teams (Cashflow Modelling, Collateral Management, Quant Development)

We will work with you during the recruitment process to understand your strengths and interests to determine the right pathway for you.

Our Business Graduate Programme is a 12‑month development opportunity designed to build core analytical, commercial and technical capabilities, while giving you exposure to the financial markets landscape and hands‑on experience within a global organisation.

Highlights of the Graduate Programme

  • Progress through a 12‑month development journey to build foundational skills for long‑term success
  • Build your foundational knowledge of LSEG, Financial Markets and the organisation during your global induction
  • Participate in group projects aligned to LSEG priorities, including sustainability initiatives
  • Engage with your peers at Ignite, our mid‑programme skills offsite
  • Access opportunities to earn industry‑recognised qualifications, including supported study time
  • Connect with the global early careers community and contribute to society via CSR and volunteering initiatives

Our graduates join us on a permanent basis, and from day one you will be aligned to Group Risk or Data & Analytics, giving you a secure framework in which to grow and develop.

What You Will Do

Group Risk Pathway

You will support the identification, assessment, monitoring and reporting of risks across the entire Group, helping the business make informed decisions.

You may work on:

  • Analysing risk data and identifying emerging trends
  • Supporting risk governance, reporting and controls
  • Collaborating with stakeholders across the business
  • Enhancing risk frameworks and risk‑management tools

Data & Analytics Pathway

You will contribute to one of the world’s largest financial data operations, serving over 40,000 customers and 400,000 end users globally.

You may work on:

  • Analysing large datasets to produce key business insights
  • Building dashboards, models or quantitative tools
  • Supporting Cashflow Modelling, Collateral workflows or Quant Development
  • Applying programming skills (Python or other languages) to solve problems
  • Enhancing data quality, data pipelines and analytical output

What We Are Looking For

We are passionate about recruiting people with curiosity for data, financial markets and analytical problem‑solving — and who want to understand how a global organisation operates end‑to‑end.

You will stand out if you can demonstrate:

  • A strong interest in financial markets, risk or data analytics
  • A curiosity for data and ability to analyse information, draw conclusions and propose solutions
  • Analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect the dots
  • Experience with programming (Python preferred) for Data & Analytics roles
  • Focus, resilience and adaptability in a fast‑paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
  • An understanding that how you achieve results matters just as much as the results themselves

Ideal candidates will have the right to work in Romania without restrictions.

We welcome students from STEM and Finance backgrounds, and we encourage applicants from Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Economics and related disciplines who can demonstrate a clear interest in Risk or Data Analytics.
