Job Summary
The Customs Classification Analyst will be based in Timisoara, reporting to Logistics Supervisor and will be in charge of providing operational expertise to enhance the efficiency and cost effectiveness of the department.
What a typical day looks like:
* You will verify the Customs (HTS) classifications performed by the engineers responsible for Tariff classification for products with a high degree of complexity.
* You will investigate to determine the cause that led to the classification errors, document the corrective actions and record them in the import application.
* You will bring to the attention of the Logistics Management the classifications considered to be debatable, for products with a high degree of complexity, in order to establish the steps to follow (BTI submission, etc.);
* Performing internal audits related to Tariff classification
* Reporting the result of the audit performed to the Management of the Logistics department and keeps records of the audit reports;
* You will prepare, by case, the documentation for the request for information regarding Tariff classification or the request for BTI;
* You will prepare/update training material for Tariff classification and perform periodically training session to the engineers team
* Revising the classifications as a result of obtaining a BTI;
* You will monitor, inform and implement the new classification or commercial policy regulations (tariff suspensions, tariff quotas, other import/export measures) issued by the European Union Commission;
