We are seeking a visionary Google Cloud Platform Team Lead to shape and enhance our cloud platform, ensuring secure, compliant, and scalable adoption across the enterprise. You will be instrumental in building foundational infrastructure that empowers data, AI/ML, and application teams through well-architected automation.
Responsibilities
- Configure and enhance GCP Landing Zone
- Automate the account vending process
- Develop and enforce guardrails, controls, and blueprints aligned with security, compliance, and FinOps best practices
- Champion Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale to streamline multi-environment deployments
- Architect and deliver reusable Terraform modules, patterns, and enterprise-grade stacks
- Establish standards for IaC, including testing, versioning, GitOps workflows, and secure deployment pipelines
- Collaborate with Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to codify and automate policies like Org Policies and SCC posture
- Implement policy-as-code, drift detection, and processes for continuous compliance
- Partner with networking, security, data/AI, and application teams to ensure platform capabilities align with organizational needs
- Actively contribute to architecture forums and design reviews as a subject matter expert
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform
- 1+ years of experience in a role of a Technical Lead or Team Lead
- Knowledge of GCP Landing Zone design principles: organization/folder/project hierarchy, resource lifecycle, and identity models
- Background in secure networking strategies: hub/spoke architecture, VPC-SC, PSC, interconnect/peering, and DNS management
- Skills in policy guardrails: Org Policies, SCC, constraints, and approaches to multi-environment separation
- Expertise in Terraform: composable module design, automated pipelines (CI/CD), testing frameworks like terratest, and state management
- Capability to refactor manual infrastructure into codified, scalable solutions
- Proficiency in platform architecture: logging/monitoring for observability, KMS/CMEK, artifact registries, and audit-ready compliance designs
- Flexibility to collaborate on architectural decisions and mentor engineering teams while conveying trade-offs and rationale effectively
- Excellent command of written and spoken English (B2+ level)
Nice to have
- Capability to enable secure AI/ML workloads using GCP tools like Vertex AI and data platforms
- Familiarity with policy as code tools such as OPA for drift detection and compliance automation
- Certifications like Google Professional Cloud Architect, Cloud Network Engineer, or Security Engineer
