We have an opportunity for a Tax Intern to join us at Honeywell, in Bucharest, where you will be responsible for effective reporting and control of the VAT affairs, supporting strategies to optimize overall tax burden while complying with relevant legislation.
This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.
Key responsibilities
- Produces VAT return information from the accounting system.
- Ensures high quality Issue log resolution and initiate corrective actions for the entities in the portfolio
- Ensures VAT return accuracy and approval within the submission deadline
- Ensures VAT return reconcilies with the accounting records
- Ensures on time VAT payments
- May participate in the SAP implementation of new businesses within EMEA
- Asists and supports team members in their investigation of reconciling differences
- May prepare internal/external reporting as required
- Produces routine reports, schedules, and summaries for management.
- May be assigned to support in projects for various process improvements initiatives
- Coordinates information flow from various internal stakeholders to external service provider regarding Corporate Income Tax calculation
- May provide ERP source data to external service provider regarding Corporate Income Tax calculation
- Support US/local tax reporting
Key skills and qualifications
- 3rd year student or Master’s student in Finance, Tax Law, Accounting
- Fluent English (German language is a plus)
- Good skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well organized, detailed, analytical individual
