We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Lead DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure and automation efforts. You will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing scalable and reliable systems, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and practices to enhance our platform and development workflows.

Responsibilities
- Design, operate, and maintain highly available Kubernetes clusters at scale
- Implement and manage Container Networking Interfaces (CNIs), with a focus on Cilium
- Configure and optimize Kubernetes features such as Admission Controllers, IRSA/Pod Identity, Cluster Autoscaler, and Karpenter
- Develop and maintain reusable Terraform modules and ensure infrastructure as code practices are implemented consistently
- Drive GitOps adoption and manage tools that support GitOps workflows
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for streamlined automation processes
- Ensure robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions are in place for infrastructure health
- Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to develop internal platforms and tooling
- Document infrastructure designs, procedures, and workflows to enable clarity and collaboration
- Troubleshoot, debug, and rectify issues related to cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes environments
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior DevOps team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or a similar technical role
- At least 1 year of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in Kubernetes, including in-depth understanding of CNIs like Cilium, Admission Controllers, IRSA/Pod Identity, Cluster Autoscaler, and Karpenter
- Proven experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes clusters at scale
- Proficiency in Terraform for developing, managing, and maintaining reusable infrastructure modules
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud providers, specifically AWS and/or Azure
- Solid capability to implement GitOps practices and manage GitOps tools
- Skills in developing and maintaining automation pipelines, particularly with GitLab CI
- Knowledge of building and operating internal platforms or tooling for cross-team support
- Comfort and proficiency in writing thorough documentation for infrastructure and processes
- English proficiency at a B2 level to ensure effective communication and documentation
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AWS Organizations for managing multi-account setups in Amazon Web Services
- Expertise in Azure Kubernetes Service and experience deploying solutions in Microsoft Azure environments
- Understanding of cloud-native solutions and multi-cloud architectures
