We are looking for a passionate and skilled SAP Basis Engineer to join our newly established SAP Basis team in Romania. You will work closely with a global team of experts from Germany and Malaysia, supporting large-scale enterprise environments across a variety of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, and energy.
This is a unique opportunity to grow with the team, contribute to building our local SAP capability, and get direct exposure to international clients and complex SAP landscapes.
Your Responsibilities
· Design, configure, and administer SAP environments (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, and other SAP components)
· Perform system installations, upgrades, patches, and migrations
· Monitor system performance and ensure optimal operation of SAP infrastructure
· Implement quarterly security patches and manage incidents and service requests
· Consult clients on SAP best practices and performance optimization
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, data center support, and cloud operations
· Maintain system documentation (Wiki, Outlook, internal tools) and actively participate in regular team meetings
· Engage in occasional on-site meetings with clients or teams in Germany (1–2 times/year)
Your Profile
Mandatory Technical Skills:
· Solid experience in SAP Basis administration
· Strong knowledge of HANA and at least one of the following databases: Oracle, DB2, MaxDB, or Sybase
· Experience with SAP Notes, system patching, and security compliance in regulated environments (e.g. GDPR)
Nice-to-Have Skills:
· SAP on Azure or other cloud platforms
· Experience with SAP Build and automation tools
· German language skills

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities
