Adecco is looking for a Category Manager on behalf of a leading company in the FMCG industry - beer sector.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business/ Economics/ Engineering/ Law, or a related discipline.
- Master's Degree is considered an advantage.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior role in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, or Category Management.
- Proven experience managing sourcing projects, supplier negotiations, and commercial contracts on direct category
- Experience working in cross-functional and matrix organizations.
- Experience in FMCG is preferred
- People coordination experience (min. 2 years)
- Strong analytical and financial acumen.

- Advanced Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP proficiency.

The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing category strategies that deliver value through cost optimization, supply assurance, risk management, innovation, and continuous improvement. The role leads strategic sourcing activities, manages supplier relationships, and works cross-functionally to support business objectives.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business objectives, market conditions, stakeholder requirements, and category-specific risks.
- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives end-to-end, including market analysis, tendering, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Deliver value through cost savings, cost avoidance, TCO analysis, benchmarking, demand optimization, supplier consolidation, value engineering, and working capital improvements.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual agreements in line with company objectives
- Build, manage, and develop strategic supplier relationships, ensuring supplier performance, reliability, innovation, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement.
- Maintain a competitive supplier base by identifying, evaluating, onboarding, and developing suppliers.
- Ensure continuity of supply and proactively manage contingency plans for critical materials and suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, supply capacity, technology developments, regulatory changes, and geopolitical factors affecting assigned categories.
- Benchmark category performance against Group companies and external market references, identifying competitiveness gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Provide market intelligence and strategic recommendations to support business decision-making and budgeting processes.
- Partner closely with Finance, Planning, Legal, Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain teams to optimize inventory levels, working capital, supply security, and service levels.
- Identify, track, and report procurement value delivered, including savings, cost avoidance, risk reduction, productivity improvements, and working capital impact.
- Lead cross-functional sourcing projects and ensure successful execution of category strategies and procurement initiatives
- Guides and coordinates the daily activities of the Procurement Specialist, ensuring their objectives are aligned with the overall strategy of the managed category
