Your impact
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and support Cloud Ally services. This role is critical in managing AWS infrastructure, automating CI/CD workflows, ensuring security compliance, and optimizing cloud costs. The ideal candidate will work closely with Cloud Ally developers to maintain system reliability, scalability, and efficiency, ensuring smooth deployments and high availability.
What the role offers
Cloud Infrastructure & AWS Management
- Oversee AWS VPC, IAM, EC2, ALB, Route53, WAF, and scaling strategies for high-availability, secure cloud operations.
- Implement cost-efficient cloud solutions by optimizing resource allocation and scaling policies.
- Support large-scale infrastructure expansion for upcoming enterprise projects.
- Administer and configure Linux systems, including routing configurations and Bash scripting for automation.
- Manage and configure databases, such as MongoDB, ensuring scalability and performance.
CI/CD & Deployment Automation
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using TeamCity, GitHub, Docker, and Ansible.
- Automate deployments for faster, more reliable software releases.
- Improve system resiliency through infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
System Monitoring & Incident Response
- Enhance real-time monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch, logging, and automated alerting tools.
- Reduce Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR) by improving automated issue resolution.
Security & Compliance
- Strengthening IAM policies, WAF security rules, and automated security enforcement to protect cloud infrastructure.
- Deploy Wazuh for intrusion detection, security compliance, and threat monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
Cloud Cost Optimization
- Implement cost-effective scaling and AWS cost tracking tools to prevent unnecessary cloud expenses.
- Automate resource lifecycle management for efficiency and budget control.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with Cloud Ally developers to optimize infrastructure for product development.
- Ability to work from home most of the time, ensuring flexibility while maintaining high productivity.
- Mentor junior DevOps team members and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
What you need to succeed
- 5+ years of DevOps experience with a strong focus on AWS cloud environments (AWS Certification(s) a plus).
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services (VPC, EC2, IAM, ALB, Route53, WAF, Lambda).
- Strong experience in CI/CD automation using TeamCity, GitHub, GitLab, Docker, Ansible.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, IAM, and cloud compliance.
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (CloudWatch, Wazuh, ELK Stack).
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Bash, Python, or Terraform.
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Experience managing and configuring MongoDB or other databases.
- Excellent team collaboration and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on system reliability and security.
- Ability to work independently and remotely most of the time while ensuring high availability and efficiency.
